The Journey of Hoffmann Farm's Restoration

Hoffmann Farm has a rich history that reflects the spirit of community collaboration. From humble beginnings, it is growing into a vibrant hub for education, farming, and family engagement. Our vision is to save and restore the historic Hoffmann Farm and to see youth and families introduced to farming, horses, history, and growing healthy food.

Hoffmann Farm is a collaboration of churches, nonprofits, farmers, individuals, and businesses with a passion to restore the Hoffmann Farm. What began with a few people and a church helping a farmer has turned into a serving and volunteer movement of helping hands, serving to restore the Hoffmann Farm.

A Historical Farm

The farm was originally purchased by the Gehman family from William Penn’s sons in the 1740s. The first stone house was built in the 1760s. The large bank barn was built in the 1800s. The other structures were mostly built in the 1800s. Much more about the history will be posted in the future.
